5) The World Bank lowered its growth forecast for developing countries during 2014 in its Global Economic Prospects (GEP) report which was released on 11 June 2014. The growth forecast was lowered from the January estimate of 5.3% to – 4.8% (However, the estimates for 2015 and 2016 displayed signs of strengthening with growth of 5.4 and 5.5%, respectively.
